Welcome to Akron Celebration Committee

Due to the ongoing Covid crisis, it is with regret that the Akron Celebration Committee will have to cancel the New Year’s Eve ball drop and Fireworks in Russell Park. Our main concern is for the safety of our volunteers as well as those attending the event. Let’s all hope that 2021 will ring in a better year and at some point allow us to resume our community activities.

Safe and Happy Holidays to all!

The Akron Celebration Committee sponsors two main events for the community throughout the year. One is the Fourth of July gala parade and fireworks, the other being the New Year’s Eve ball drop and fireworks. We rely solely on donations and volunteers to make these events happen.

The Akron Celebration Committee is a non-profit organization that is 100% made up of volunteers. Individuals in the community volunteer their time to plan and run the 4th of July celebration and New Year's Eve  Fireworks Display. The task of planning and running these events is no small feat so there is a constant need for more volunteers.

We strive to always provide our community with a quality 4th of July Celebration and Parade for all to enjoy. For it to be great and run smoothly, a strong group of volunteers is needed to make that happen.

We need your help!  All we ask is please volunteer as much time and effort you have available, we always work hard to make volunteering with us a fun and enjoyable experience.
